Venus with the Apple

 Introduction

The myth of the "Golden Apple" originated from a wedding of the gods: the goddess of discord Eris threw a golden apple engraved with "Dedicated to the Most Beautiful", provoking a dispute between three goddesses - Hera, Athena and Venus. In the end, Paris chose Venus as the most beautiful and gave her the apple. This decision indirectly triggered the Trojan War and also created the classic artistic image of Venus "holding the apple".

Sculpture Description

In the sculpture "Venus with the Apple", Venus shows the smooth curves of her body in a natural standing posture. She holds the golden apple lightly in her right hand, with a calm expression and a slight smile, showing control over her beauty and destiny. The artist depicts the softness of the skin and the drape of the fabric through the details of the sculpture, making the overall work extremely realistic and classical.

Cultural Significance

This work not only shows Venus' victory, but also deeply conveys the concept of "the legitimacy of beauty". Under the judgment of men, Venus became the "most beautiful", but she did not rely solely on her appearance, but symbolized a combination of love, reproduction and sensual power. Looking at it again today, we can read from it the active affirmation of women for their own value and beauty.

Application scenarios

This type of sculpture is suitable for female-themed spaces, such as brand image showrooms, aesthetic training institutions, art galleries or private bedrooms. It is not only a symbol of classical beauty, but also can give the environment an atmosphere of both confidence and softness.
